Different techniques will work better for certain people than for others. But no matter which method you use most cases of acne respond best to early treatment. Most skin care specialists recommend early treatment to maximize effectiveness and prevent the development of acne scars. Read on to learn about the different methods you can use to get rid of acne.

Herbal Remedies

Organic Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera juice or gel can be used to clear up the infection and promote the healing of acne. The pulp of the Aloe Vera plant can also be used as a gentle skin cleanser.

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple cider Vinegar can be combined with lemon juice and applied to clean skin with a cotton ball. This helps to deep clean pores and remove excess oil. The mixture also kills bacteria and normalizes the skin's pH. Organic apple cider vinegar is available in the amazing skin care product, Parfait Visage™.

Organic Green Beans: Boil green beans in a few inches of water for about 10 minutes. If desired, you can add a few tablespoons full of dried flowers, such as organic chamomile, to give the tea a gentle, relaxing aroma. Cover and steep until cool and then strain the mixture. Use it as a face wash at least twice daily.

Organic Carrot Juice: Carrots contain numerous essential nutrients such as vitamin A, B-complex vitamins and essential oils that aid digestion and help discourage the development of acne.

Colloidal Silver: Colloidal silver has been used for centuries as an anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent. High quality colloidal silver products can help to cleanse skin and reduce inflammation. For severe acne, try cleansing the skin in the morning and the evening night with colloidal silver. For mild acne, or the occasional blemish, dab colloidal only on affected areas with a cotton ball or Q-tip. I recommend Aquaspirit®, which contains the highest quality colloidal silver.

Organic Grapefruit Seed Extract: Grapefruit Seed Extract is a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-microbial agent that can be used to deep clean skin. Apply directly to blemishes 2-3 times daily.

Organic Cucumber: Peel a cucumber and liquefy in the blender. The cucumber juice can either be applied directly to the affected area with a cotton ball or it can be consumed as a beverage. Drinking the cucumber juice several times a day helps to cleanse the lymphatic system and clear up acne blemishes.

Organic Basil: Crush fresh basil leaves and steep in boiling water for 5 minutes to make a tea. Allow the mixture to cool, strain it, and then apply to the affected areas with a cotton ball. If desired, rinse off after 20-30 minutes.

Organic Range Fed Egg whites: The astringent properties of egg whites can help to clear acne. Dab egg whites onto acne blemishes with a cotton ball or a Q-tip. Allow it to dry for several hours or overnight and then gently rinse off with warm water.

Organic Oatmeal: Grind organic oatmeal in the blender and mix with a small amount of water to form a thick paste. Apply paste to the face and allow to set for 15-30 minutes. Rinse gently with warm water and dab dry.

Organic Oregano: Fresh oregano leaves can be crushed and mixed with water to form a strong astringent. Apply a few drops to acne blemishes with a cotton ball or Q-tip.

Witch Hazel: Witch Hazel is a gentle cleanser which can be used to dry blemishes and reduce their overall visability. Saturate a cotton ball with witch hazel and apply to blemishes two to three times daily.

Organic Burdock: Burdock is probably the most frequently used herb to treat skin disorders. It can be made into a tea and used as a gentle skin wash to clean and purify skin. Use a burdock skin cleanser at least twice a day to receive the maximum benefits.

Organic Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil contains antiseptic compounds that are very effective at cleansing the skin. It also helps to soothe the irritation and redness of acne. Apply a small amount of tea tree oil to the skin twice daily using a cotton ball or Q-tip.
