hi stacy,
From the web it has been found that skin grafting is a surgical procedure where a thin layer of skin (autograft) is taken from an unburned part of the body and placed on a burn wound.. For any kind of surgical procedure specially for this one a general anesthesia is given .. One of the general anesthesia which I have heard of is sevorane.
Sevorane information :This is a general anesthesia and has to be inhaled . Its the doctor's prerogative as to how much this should be given depending on the condition of the patient and his medical history too. Generally the drug does not have many side effects specially on older people but for the younger lot care should be taken and the drug must be given in smaller quantities.
Sevorane is given only by or under the immediate supervision of a doctor trained to use them. If anyone is receiving a general anesthetic during their surgery, the anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist will give them the medicine and closely follow your progress. |
